The View from Planet Earth: Eclipse 2012!

If you’re feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders, take a moment to get some perspective on things by reflecting on the amazing movements of our small, nearby moon that appears to be almost the same size as our massive, faraway sun. Enjoy these beautiful pictures of last week’s rare annular (i.e., “ring of fire”) eclipse, the first one visible in the United States in 18 years.

Tokyo, Japan  (Notice how the moon moves from top right diagonally across the sun to bottom left as you “read” the pictures across from left to right.)

I’m extremely impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare to see a great blog like this one today.
